A seemingly normal wife and husband are about to solve their first missing person’s case.
Stella Turner is a former crime writer for a top newspaper in Vancouver. She’s put down her pad and pen for a well-earned sabbatical now that her daughter Penny has left for university. Stella’s husband Patrick, a stay-at-home father and ceramicist, is looking forward to some one-on-one time with his wife.
But when Penny’s girlfriend Honor goes missing, Stella can’t help but fall into old habits and chase down leads. Honor, the daughter of powerhouse American TV producer Nancy Bauer, hasn’t been seen in weeks and Penny suspects foul play.
Stella convinces Patrick to head off on an adventure they never expected. It doesn’t take much talk before Patrick is packing their bags and Stella is booking tickets on the next train out of town.
Inspired by BBC radio drama Paul Temple. Listen to the “He’s dead" supercut.
A world class mystery with the lightness of a Hercule Poirot or Jessica Fletcher story, paired with the modern style and drama of The Hour and Hidden – think Endeavour.
